Project Description

Orvieto is a small village in Umbria perched on a tufa cliff. The “Duomo” (1290) with its mosaic façade houses a marble sculpture of the Pietà. The “Pozzo di San Patrizio” (XVI century) has a double spiral staircase. A network of underground caves testifies to the Etruscan roots of the town. Artifacts from that period, including ceramics and bronze objects, are on display at the “Museo Archeologico Nazionale”.
